If you have not yet been introduced to the ethereal photos by Fiona Storey, you are in for a real treat. The moment I saw an image from this magical photo shoot featuring gowns by Gwendolynne from her 2013 collection ‘La Porte Enchantee (The Enchanted Door), I had to find more. The photo shoot is more about the enchanted setting and ephemeral lighting than the actual gowns themselves. However, the wardrobe selection pairs very well together. The wardrobe collection is subtle, feminine, fluid, lightweight, comfortable, elegant, romantic, and refined. While many of the gowns do feature intense embellishment they retain a delicate flow, complimenting and enhancing the natural silhouette and beauty of the two models. The designer draws on inspiration from the Art Nouveau, Art Deco and Aesthetic Movement of the early twentieth century, whilst being guided by her principle of flattering the female form.
I like women to feel they are individuals and beautiful, and that they are able to wear clothes that suit them and enhance their natural beauty. I love designing for people who see their wardrobes as a collection of timeless heirloom pieces.
